Confirming Orders - Using Float

Open the appropriate schedule by clicking on the Gear Icon drop down in the top left hand corner of your screen and choosing Schedules

Gear Icon >> Schedules

Double click on the appropriate schedule to open.  All of the orders are grouped into Schedule Periods.   Each schedule period will contain all of the orders due to be produced within that time frame.

Click on the arrow icon > next to a schedule period to expand and make the scheduled production orders visible.  The Schedule Period should be sorted by the Period Number Column to prioritize.

New orders automatically appear in the Schedule Pool and are then Confirmed into the appropriate Schedule Period by a user.  How the orders appear in the schedule will depend on the settings selected in the Schedule Properties, for example selecting the option to “Arrange items as late as possible in the schedule pool” will place each order in the appropriate period based on the due date.  Not selecting any of those properties may result in all orders being lumped into one period.
